How can I support my child’s language and communication at toddler groups?
- Encourage and support your child to interact and play with other children
- Support them with taking turns and sharing, which are important communication skills
- Join in songs and rhymes. The rhythm, actions, simple language and repetition are great for speech and language development
- Infant Massage/First Friends/Baby Fun/Busy Babies groups – Baby groups provide support and activities for all aspects of a baby’s development, including early interaction and communication
- Toddler Time/Stay & Play – Welcoming fun sessions for your child to learn new skills with a range of sensory, outdoor, messy play, music and singing. A healthy snack time is also provided.
- Talking Together/Let’s Play Together – Play sessions focused on helping your child to become a confident communicator – invite only
- Wriggle, Rhyme & Storytime/Tuneful Chatter – Ideas to support your child through music, movement and a range of activities encouraging early language and communication development and contributes to school readiness
